1.     Create a To-do List

When it comes to taking care of a cancer patient, you have to perform various important tasks on a daily basis. Create a list of tasks to manage your work more efficiently.

Do not hesitate to ask for help. With your job and busy schedule, it may not be possible for you to stay with the patient throughout the day. However, you can ask your other family members to stay with the patient while you are away.  It will allow you to take care of your other responsibilities without feeling guilty.

2.     Emotional Support

A cancer patient needs a lot of emotional support during their illness. Stay with them for as long as you can and listen to them. Refrain from talking negatively in front of them and do not comment on their physical appearance. Try to motivate them and give them hope that they can get better with their will. Avoid sharing your own illness or stress with the patient.
